ABOUT ONLINE FINAL EXAMS

INCLUDING CONTINUING EDUCATION and
STATUTORY (COLLEGE-LEVEL) COURSES

The following information is intended to provide you with a general description of the types of final exams offered per course through this web site, and a brief statement concerning BRE testing requirements.

ONLINE EXAMS:  Our online final exams were designed to be easy to take from any computing device assuming you have an update-to-date Internet browser. Out students have completed their exams on all types of Internet accessible devices. We have tested Internet Explorer, latest releases of FireFox for PC and Mac, latest releases of Apple's Safari for both PC and Mac, Google Chrome, and we have witnessed students using iPads and Android tablets.

MAC SAFARI EXCEPTIONS:  One exception was a Mac Safari version from roughly 2011. For some reason, Apple decided to "hide the clutter" if Safari detected browser inactivity after roughly 15 seconds. The results, the bottom and right side scrollbars would disappear. The "fix" was to move you mouse and click where you thought the scrollbars should be located with no guarantees that would work. Most Safari browser users either upgraded to the newer version (the "fix") or downloaded FireFox for Mac.

SEARCH ENGINE vs INTERNET BROWSER:  This can be the most confusing topics on the Internet. A "search engine" is not an " Internet browser". When you are instructed to go to a particular web site page, always enter the address in the Address Bar (See examples, below).

When you go to the Internet, you first see a default web page. The Address Bar located at the very top of the browser window. If this default web page is something like Google.com or Yahoo.com, do not enter our address in the "search box." To go to www.DuaneGomer.com, type this address in to the "address box." If you are entering key words, such as "Duane Gomer", enter that information in the "search box." See our examples.

LICENSE EXPIRATION:  Students must complete all tests at least six (6) business days before their expiration date. Duane Gomer Seminars cannot be responsible for Internet problems, etc. We will do everything within our power to deliver certificates but we cannot guarantee delivery. Note CR 3006 (n): Every participant who successfully completes the course shall be provided with a course completion certificate within 15 days from date of completion.
